  • Can I book in with a female therapist?
If you are female and wish to be seen by the female therapist then this may be possible. The ladies only clinic has its own set of services and memberships which can be purchased directly for their clinic. Our female therapist specialises in female health and wellness and her clinic is open to female clients only.
  • Can I book a same day emergency appointment?
Same day appointments can be viewed via our online booking system. If no free appointments are visible, then please drop us a message so we can add you to our waiting list. We also hold an emergency clinic every Wednesday & Saturday where appointments are available between 10am to 4pm with the male therapist. Please note that emergency appointments on these days are not bookable online, so if you have an emergency please call us. Leave a voicemail if we don't answer and we will check for availability. • Can I bring a chaperone with me?
Yes, by all means. If you are under 18 or a vulnerable adult, you will only be treated if you bring a responsible adult.
  • Is there anything I need to do before or after my treatment?
There are a few things you need to plan before your treatment. Ensure you fill in the initial health questionnaire prior to your appointment. This is to enable you to consult and confirm with your GP that you are suitable to receive treatment if you have any medical conditions or are on any medication. Stay well hydrated in the run up to your appointment and after Eat a light meal before your treatment as it is advisable to give it 2 hours after treatment before you can eat again. You will be given some aftercare advice, however here are a few things to consider. You can wash after treatment, however avoid very hot baths, showers or sauna's. Take some pain killers as advised on packaging if you feel some pain after your treatment. It is advised to give it 2 hours after treatment before you can eat. Avoid strenuous activity for 24 hours after your treatment. Avoid any caffeine and alcohol after your treatment. If you feel tired after seeing us, then rest as much as possible If you experience any other side effects or feel unwell (which is rare), please seek professional medical advice If given any rehabilitation, then please ensure you carry this out.
  • What do I wear for my treatment?
We need to assess your posture so taking off outer layers of clothes may be necessary. We want you to feel as comfortable as possible and would only do this with your consent, therefore it is advisable to wear the following for your consultation and treatment: Male patients: Shorts Female patients: Bra / Sports Bra / Strappy Vest Shorts These can be worn under your clothes without too much restriction.

  • How early should I arrive for my appointment?
Please allow for ample time to park or if arriving by other means take into account the traveling time to enable you to arrive no earlier than 5 minutes before your appointment time, this will save you waiting too long. During the evening after 17:00 and all day weekends we do not have a receptionist on site, therefore the doors are locked for security reasons. If you arrive 5 minutes before your appointment it will ensure we are free to wait for you in reception or to come out and allow you access to the waiting area. If you arrive at the door and we are not in reception waiting or you then please give us a call or text us on 07897032030 to inform us of you arrival.
  • What happens if I am late for my appointment?
If you are late for your appointment please be aware that the therapist has the right to reduce the length of your treatment or decline treatment in line with the clinics schedule, we will endeavour to be as reasonable and accommodating as we can,. This is due to the fact that the clinics operate on an appointment system and can have a knock on effect to other patients. This is why we ask that you arrive approximately 5 minutes before your appointment and throughout the website you will find driving instructions to us along with pictures of what the building looks like. If you have any issues please ensure that you where possible you can keep us updated via text or call on 07897032030.
  • What happens during my consultation?
During the consultation process we go through your details and medical history. We assess your suitability for sports massage treatment, your injury, pain or complaint and devise a treatment plan you are happy with. The consultation process takes about 15-25 mins to fully complete.
  • Do I have to get undressed in front of the therapist?
No, we respect your privacy and have screens or curtains in our clinics which can allow you full privacy whilst getting ready before and after your treatment.
  • Is the treatment painful and will I get bruising?
The therapist will always work with pressure that is suitable to your threshold. Throughout the treatment your therapist will ask how you are finding the pressure and make any necessary adjustments. Depending on your skin type or hydration levels, you may experience some pain, redness or slight bruising after your treatment. You may also experience slight DOMS (Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness) for a few days after treatment.
  • Does cupping cause bruising?
Cupping does not cause bruising, but it may cause some discolouration on the skin that can last a few days to a week. These marks are toxins and stagnation of blood which is being released through the cupping process. This will not cause you any pain or discomfort.
  • What happens if I have paid for my treatment and I do not attend?
Our booking system allows you to cancel or re-arrange your own appointments so please utilise this to its full functionality. We have a strict 48 hour cancellation and re-scheduling policy which you can view when you confirm your appointment via our system. If you fail to follow this policy then unfortunately the session will be forfeited and will not be re-booked. If you have also paid a deposit, this will also be non-refundable.
